TIME > MONEY
New York Life says small business owners must manage their time efficiently: “The many roles and responsibilities of a business owner means there’s usually never enough time to get everything done. Make the most of every minute of your day by learning to manage time better and becoming more productive. It takes discipline, but you can ensure time is on your side.”
TAKE BACK YOUR TIME
The best way to do this, according to Inc., is to delegate, delegate, delegate. “I’ve learned that you can make a lot more money when you have other people doing it for you,” Gene Marks, of the Marks Group, told Inc.’s Kelly Spors, who wrote: “As he hired more people, it dawned on Marks that he had been doing work that he was pretty bad at doing. The revenue of the business soared as he brought on new people because he was hiring people who were better than him at certain jobs. ‘I just sort of learned the hard way: focus on what you do best, and delegate the rest.'”
